Here at Colby Road Nursery, we have a good understanding of children's lives and their social contexts, basing our teaching around them. Supporting and encouraging personality development, autonomy and creativity are top priorities for us.
Developing social interaction and understanding differences in others also plays an important role in our work. We also support you, the parent, in bringing up your child.
At Colby Road Nursery we have one clear focus: your child's individual needs.
In order for us to support your child's development in the best possible way, we strive to employ only the most committed and child focussed staff. We are made up of a team of 3 Nursery Nurses and 4 Nursery Assistants.
Colby Road Nursery embraces Equal Opportunites and is proud to celebrate diversity in the backgrounds of our Team members as we believe this reflects the community in our area of South London.
All our staff attend regular training courses so they may continue to develop and this enables our staff to bring new ideas and proposals to their daily work - ideas that will also benefit your child!

Our Approach
Here at Colby Road Nursery we appreciate that starting at a nursery can be a big step for children (and their parents!) so every child is allocated a key worker for a 'settling in' period of six weeks. After that, the child goes onto the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Parents are welcome to view their child's work folders to check on their progress at our six-monthly parents evenings, and daily feedback sheets are given to all parents which show how your child has slept, how much they have eaten and the activity for that day.
